Dr. Laurel H. Bluntzer
Dr. Laurel Bluntzer is a Licensed Psychologist and has been providing psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to individuals and families in central Texas for more than 10 years. She attended Our Lady of the Lake University where she obtained both her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Bluntzer has extensive training in the treatment of trauma and anxiety. She also has notable success in providing couples therapy for those struggling with communication and conflict in their relationships. Additionally, Dr. Bluntzer has many years of experience providing psychological evaluations for learning disabilities, ADHD, personality disorders, and for extreme hardship and VAWA immigration cases.
Clients often comment on Dr. Bluntzer's warm, compassionate, and accepting approach in therapy. She uses evidence-based treatment techniques to support clients with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship difficulties. She teaches mindfulness skills and addresses important factors such as shame, resilience, and self-acceptance.
Dr. Amanda sharp
Dr. Sharp earned her Doctorate in Psychology in 2018 and completed internship conducting psychological evaluations for children and adolescents in foster care. She has extensive experience providing psychological evaluation to diagnose ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and mood disorders. She will be working under the supervision of Dr. Bluntzer, providing testing and assessment services, and parent education and resources.
Dr. Sharp’s educational and training background include a variety of child, adolescent, and adult assessments; developmental evaluations; and counseling and therapy services to adolescents and adults. While earning her Master’s and Doctorate, Dr. Sharp provided counseling and volunteer services at the Rape Crisis Center. For the past 4 years she has provided assessment services throughout Texas providing medical, psychiatric, and academic referrals.
Her passion is providing children, adolescents, adults, and families with resources to thrive and grow.
Claire Loucka, M.A., LMFT
Claire is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate (all but dissertation). Claire received her master’s degree in 2015 from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Claire is also an adjunct professor at Our Lady of the Lake University in the graduate program for marriage and family therapy, where she supervises and guides future therapists. Claire is a published author in the Journal of Systemic Therapies, “Valuing our Values: Short stories of revitalizing traditional work contexts by reclaiming collaborative practices.”
Claire is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families addressing issues of infidelity, breaches of trust, re-igniting desire, co-parenting, and exploring sexual orientation. Claire works towards rebuilding connections between partners, families, and oneself by approaching life’s struggles with a non-judgment stance, respect, and empathy. As a solution-orientated therapist she is most interested in exploring your strengths and resources as the building blocks for therapy and change. Since 2014, Claire has been passionate about working with individuals struggling with addiction. Addiction is not a disease that only affects one person-often times the family is affected. Claire assist families in making sense of their loved ones struggles with addiction as well as explore skills needed for individuals to address their addiction. Addiction comes in many forms which can include, but not limited to, drugs and alcohol, sex, social media, and love.
